Rates use standard recipes. Fractional machine counts show the exact clocking requirement; rounded counts show how many buildings to place.

Build palette
Choose a part, then tap the foundation grid. Select placed parts to move, rotate, or delete them.
Belt tool: tap a start cell, then an end cell. In Satisfactory, combiners are called mergers.

Select a building or conveyor tool to begin.
Conveyor capacity
Find the minimum belt tier and number of parallel belts.
Resource node output
Calculate miner output from purity and clock speed.
Machine clocking
Split a target rate evenly across a chosen building count.
Foundation footprint
Estimate a rectangular floor with clearance and service aisles.

Build order playbook
1 · Secure power first. Add generation and a 20–30% reserve before connecting the new line.
2 · Build backward. Place the final-product machines first, then work toward raw inputs. This exposes belt and floor-space requirements early.
3 · Separate logistics layers. Keep input manifolds, outputs, and utilities on consistent levels. Leave at least one foundation between major lines.
4 · Commission one stage at a time. Fill and test upstream machines before starting downstream production. Watch for belt saturation and fluid head-lift issues.
5 · Label everything. Mark item, rate, source, and destination at every inter-factory connection. Future-you is another engineer.
6 · Sink overflow. Smart-split excess output to an AWESOME Sink so a backed-up final product does not stall useful byproducts.
